My name is Maria, and I am a qualified psychologist and counsellor. I am a compassionate, dedicated, and empathetic individual, deeply passionate about mental health and supporting people in achieving their goals and discovering their authentic selves. My top priority is always to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable enough to express their deepest concerns.
I completed my degree in Psychology, which led to my accreditation with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Following this, I completed a counselling course, and with my work experience, I gained accreditation from the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists, and Hypnotherapists (ACCPH). I then furthered my expertise by earning diplomas in Couple and Family Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), allowing me to provide a well-rounded and tailored approach to support individuals, couples, and families.
I am committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and professional integrity in my work as a registered member of both the BPS and ACCPH. Additionally, I continuously engage in personal and professional development to enhance my skills and provide the best possible support to my clients.
Beyond my private practice, I work with individuals facing severe mental health challenges, such as depression, schizophrenia, Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), bipolar disorder, autism, and more, within supported accommodation settings. In some cases, I also offer pro bono support to ensure that mental health care is accessible to those in need.
